You can give them the future they deserve.
To enforce bans on wild animals in circuses in Peru and Colombia, ADI tracked down illegal circuses, rescued over 30 lions and took them home to Africa. Please donate today to fund their care and provide the lions with a wonderful home under the African sun.
Rescued by Animal Defenders
International during an 18-month long mission to enforce legislation banning
wild animal circus acts, over 30 lions from Peru and Colombia – were nursed back to health and flown to a new life in Africa!
Their forever home is Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa, where they will live the rest of their lives in natural bush habitats in their family groups. The lions have been released into bonding camps, the largest enclosures the lions have ever known. Families are being reintroduced to one other and familiarised with their new home. The second phase of the release is the construction of huge habitats, with trees, platforms and watering holes.
We need to raise $150,000 to complete these fantastic habitats which will allow the lions to completely disappear into the bush. Our commitment to these animals is ongoing and your donation will help fund their care.
